What is included in the price of my holiday? We believe that the price you see is the price you should pay therefore the price of your holiday includes the following:- all bed linen and towels, all gas and electricity, Wi Fi and any of our specialist items of equipment that you may request at time of booking. The only thing we charge extra for is pets which currently carry a charge of £20 per pet per stay (not including service animals).
What arrival days do you allow? Arrival days are Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. Arrival days vary between lodges and seasons. Use our online booking system via the book now button to check the specific lodge you are interested in for particular arrival days.
When and how do I check-in? You can check into your lodge from 4.00pm onwards on your arrival date. You will be required to access your lodge by collecting your key from a keysafe attached to your lodge and the code for this will be provided in your booking documents. Please do not come to reception to collect your key.
What time is departure? Departure is at 10.30am. Please leave your key in the keysafe for your lodge. Please do not return your key to reception.
Do you allow short breaks? Yes we allow 3 night weekend and 4 night mid week breaks throughout the year. Use our online booking system to check the availability and price of short breaks for the dates you are interested in.
How do I check availability, price and book? You can check availability, price and book online simply by clicking on the book now button that appears in the top left of every page on our website, by clicking the book now button wherever it appears on our accommodation pages or by clicking on the available dates on the booking calendars wherever they appear on our website.
Can I make a provisional booking? Due to the high level of demand for our lodges we do not accept provisional bookings. A non-fundable deposit is required to secure dates.
What deposit is required? We require payment of a non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total holiday cost or £100 whichever is greater to confirm a booking.
When do I pay my balance? The full balance is due by no later than 55 days prior to the start of your holiday. You will recieve a balance reminder.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, Cheques (however, these carry a £3 supplement per cheque) and BAC's transfer. We have currently suspended cash payments as part of our covid 19 response.
Do you charge a supplement for paying with a credit card? No we do not charge any supplements for paying by credit card.
What is your cancellation policy? For full details on our cancellation policy please refer to your Terms and Conditions document provided when making your booking.
Can I amend my booking? You can amend the dates of your booking free of charge up until 8 weeks prior to arrival. For full details on our amendment policy please see our Terms and Conditions.
What Accessibility Equipment /Provision do you make in your lodges? We have a wide range of equipment available free of charge on request, this equipment must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. For a full list of equipment we can provide as well as full access statements for each lodge please see our Access Information page. 360 degree videos are also available on our accommodation pages to allow you to walk through the lodges in virtual reality.
Can I bring my dog / cat? We welcome up to 3 dogs/cats in our Drummochy, Cardy and Keil Lodges, however please note there is £20 charge per stay per pet and these should be added to your reservation at time of booking. We do ask guests who bring pets to adhere to a few common sense housekeeping rules, these rules can be found in our terms and conditions. Our Massney Lodge is a designated pet free Lodge therefore pets are not allowed in this property. Registered assistance animals are allowed free of charge in all our properties.
Is smoking/vaping/e cigarettes permitted? Smoking / vaping / e cigarettes is not permitted in any of the lodges or within the grounds of Homelands. We reserve the right to charge a fee of up to £200 for a deep clean to remove the smell of smoke from a lodge and we reserve the right to refuse future bookings from any guests suspected of smoking in our lodges.
Do you provide on site carers? Homelands does not provide on site carers or any care packages, we are a self catering operation and leave the organisation of care facilities to our guests. We can provide a list of care organisations in the area on request but are not in a position to recommend any particular care organisations.
Do you have BBQ facilities? In light of Covid 19 We have currently suspended hire of our BBQ grills at present. We will re-instate this service on an appropriate date in the future.
Do you provide facilities for charging electric vehicles? Our Massney Lodge is fitted with an Electric Vehicle Charge point which is for the use of our Massney guests. There will a charge levied for use of this charger. Please book the charger in advance. We also have two public Fast 22kw Electric Vehicle Type 2 Charging Points which also attract a charge and details of where to find the cost plan are indicated on the sticker on the charging unit itself.
